October 10, 2009 Sterling, VA — Advantage Media Technologies (AMT) is one of a handful of innovative companies whose work is on display at the CharityWorks GreenHouse, a unique new home in McLean, Virginia. Built under the leadership of GreenSpur, Inc. and West Group, the carbon-neutral home is holding an open house that begins today and runs through 10.30.09.

AMT was selected by GreenSpur executives to provide state-of-the-art smart automation and energy-monitoring system for the home, as well as an LED television in the home's media room that uses 40 percent less power than LCD models. As a result of these and many other design decisions, the home is expected to use 80 percent less energy per square foot than a comparable new home, and should remove as much carbon dioxide from the atmosphere as it emits.

Gordon Nelsen, founder of AMT, is proud that his company was selected to participate in the novel project, and notes that its energy-saving goals dovetail with many of the technology solutions AMT offers. Nelsen adds that with the market demand for more energy efficient green homes growing rapidly, his company will soon launch a new communication effort focused on residential builders.
